Overview
Support programme development, planning, management, monitoring, and implementation in child protection. Build partnerships and contribute to innovation and capacity building.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze development trends.
- Collect, analyze, verify, and synthesize information for programme development.
- Prepare technical reports and inputs for programme documentation.
- Facilitate the development of programme goals, objectives, strategies, and results-based planning.
- Provide technical and administrative support throughout programming processes.
- Prepare documentation for programme review and approval.
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to collect and share information on implementation issues.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises and programme reviews.
- Monitor and report on the use of sectoral programme resources.
- Report on issues identified for timely resolution.
- Prepare inputs for programme and donor reporting.
- Provide support in following up fund utilization and financial processes.
- Undertake field visits and surveys.
- Assess progress and provide technical support.
- Report on critical issues, bottlenecks, and potential problems.
- Provide technical, contextual, and operational support to counterparts and partners.
- Build and sustain partnerships with government counterparts and national stakeholders.
- Participate in inter-agency meetings on programming.
- Research potential donors and prepare resource mobilization materials.
- Draft communication and information materials for programme advocacy.
- Identify, capture, synthesize, and share lessons learned.
- Apply innovative approaches and promote good practices.
- Research, benchmark, and report on best practices.
- Participate as a resource person in capacity building initiatives.
Required Experience
A minimum of one year of professional experience in planning and management in child protection related areas is required. Experience working in a UN agency is considered as an asset.
Qualifications
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: international development, social work, human rights, psychology, sociology, law, or another relevant social science field.
