Overview
The Private Sector Fundraising Officer (Partnerships) plays a critical role in developing and implementing a country-specific resource mobilization plan tailored to Kazakhstan’s financial sector and private economy. The role operates at the intersection of programme, communication, and partnerships, ensuring UNICEF positions itself as a partner of choice for corporate businesses, philanthropists, foundations, and individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategy to maintain and create partnerships with the private sector.
- Plan, organize and execute private sector fundraising events/campaigns/activities/donor partners forums.
- Research, map, screen, and identify prospective private sector partners and donors.
- Establish and maintain new opportunities in different channels to meet the established KPI.
- Meet, cultivate and negotiate with potential private sector partners to secure new income streams.
- Support the Representative in exploring new opportunities and maintaining existing private sector partnerships.
- Work closely with the Communication Specialist and programme teams to integrate fundraising components into advocacy and communication campaigns.
- Provide effective account management, partnership recognition and ensure efficient reporting on the outcomes of all partnerships and fundraising.
- Develop funding/partnership proposals and other relevant materials for potential private sector donors.
- Coordinate and implement all KCO private sector fundraising plans and budgets.
- Maintain communication with Regional Office and PFP to maximize potential of global or regional private sector partnerships.
- Monitor and evaluate private sector fundraising activities as per agreed key performance indicators and metrics of success, including budget expenses.
Required Experience
- Five years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: private sector resource mobilization, business administration, marketing and sales, external relations, customer relations / Account Managements, or other relevant area.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
A university degree is required in one of the following fields: international relations, marketing, business administration, communications, international development, or another relevant field.
