Project Associate (Migrant Protection)

Overview

Support the implementation of project activities related to strengthening emergency assistance and community-based protection mechanisms for vulnerable migrants in the Comoros.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly work plans, activity updates and progress reports.
  • Support coordination with the Administration and Finance Unit to follow up on project expenditures.
  • Provide technical, administrative and logistical support for the organization of trainings, stakeholder consultations, community outreach activities and coordination meetings.
  • Support logistical arrangements before and during duty travel and field missions.
  • Assist in maintaining effective working relationships with relevant government counterparts, community actors, civil society organizations, and UN partners.
  • Support the identification of implementation challenges.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical inputs, meeting minutes and background materials.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of humanitarian, protection, migration management or community development projects.
  • Experience in organizing trainings, workshops, consultations or community outreach activities.
  • Experience in administrative and logistical support, including travel arrangements, event coordination and documentation.
  • Experience in data collection, reporting and follow-up on project activities.
  • Experience working with government counterparts, civil society organizations or international organizations is an advantage.
  • Experience in projects related to protection of vulnerable groups, gender, child protection, trafficking or migrant assistance is a strong asset.
  • Previous experience with UN agencies or international organizations is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
  • School diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.

Languages Required: Fluency in French and English is required (oral and written).
