Overview
The Associate Senior Enterprise Architect - Data Architecture role focuses on translating business strategy into architectural solutions, contributing to the extension of EA metamodel, and managing enterprise-wide technical debt.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the extension of EA metamodel.
- Support EA repository management activities.
- Report on technology and application KPIs.
- Maintain business and IT capability models.
- Manage enterprise-wide technical debt.
- Advance the technology and governance program with focus on open-source initiatives.
- Create architectural blueprints aligning business objectives with technology solutions.
- Develop and maintain enterprise data architecture strategies, standards, and principles.
- Create and govern enterprise data models.
- Design reference architectures for modern data platforms.
- Lead the development of synthetic data generation frameworks.
- Establish data architecture patterns for cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
- Define and track data architecture KPIs.
- Lead technology rationalization efforts for data platforms.
- Partner with CDO teams to ensure data governance policies are architecturally enabled.
- Collaborate on enterprise data quality frameworks.
- Work with data engineering teams on automated data lineage solutions.
- Support data lifecycle management initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging data technologies and architectural patterns.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Foster knowledge sharing through communities of practice.
- Guide solution architects and development teams in applying enterprise data architecture principles.
- Develop architecture communication strategy.
Required Experience
- 8 years of experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or related discipline; OR 10 years relevant experience.
- Proven experience in translating business strategy into architectural solutions.
- Strong capabilities in solution, application, data, cloud, and infrastructure architecture domains.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or related discipline; OR Bachelor's degree.
- Enterprise Architecture certification required (TOGAF, EACOE, or equivalent issued by The Open Group).
- Data-specific certifications strongly preferred: CDMP (DAMA), AWS Data Analytics Specialty, Azure Data Engineer, or equivalent.
- Cloud certification is a plus (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or GCP equivalent).
