Overview
The Project Analyst (M&E) will support the Project Manager in implementing a Results-Based monitoring and reporting approach for the Land Data Digitalization for Inclusive Growth Project.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish/revise M&E framework, including indicators, baselines, targets, risks, and assumptions.
- Develop/revise and execute multi-year monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Provide input for Annual Work Plan (AWP) and budget.
- Collect progress data and information.
- Prepare periodic progress reports (QPR, APR, Donor Report).
- Support periodic progress reviews.
- Support development of project documents/proposals.
- Support execution of M&E activities for other initiatives.
- Establish reporting mechanism for Flood Recovery-WASH project.
- Provide input for preparing periodic Monitoring Reports, Donor Reports, Cumulative Progress Reports.
- Support preparation and implementation of emergency recovery/livelihood support.
- Support design and conduct of surveys/studies.
- Support documentation, reporting, and update of UNDP’s corporate strategic/M&E information.
- Work with UNDP Monitoring and Evaluation Focal Person.
- Provide data/information for periodic updates of UNDP’s corporate information (IATI, QUANTUM, UNDP-Intra).
- Support preparation of UNDP Results-oriented Annual Reporting (ROAR).
- Support initiation of necessary evaluation and studies.
- Support project closing activities (PCR, Lesson Learned Report, PQA Report).
- Support capacity building and knowledge sharing on M&E and RBM.
- Organize learning, training, and capacity building activities.
- Support identification, synthesis, documentation, and dissemination of lessons learned and good practices.
- Contribute to local and global knowledge networks.
- Contribute to the implementation of Evaluation Knowledge Management and Learning Strategy.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Required Experience
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of work experience in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation, including hands-on experience in design, implementation, documentation, reporting and knowledge building.
- Desired skills include experience in executing M&E plans, developing Project Result Frameworks, Theory of Change (TOC), M&E Plans, identifying risks, preparing budgets, supporting project proposals, planning and commissioning evaluations and studies, application of M&E in disaster management, environmental management and climate change mitigation, development and assessment of data collection methodology, quality, and analysis of data sets, reporting, and ICT skills including M&E-related and mobile-based survey tools.
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Disaster Management, Geography, Environment, Development Studies/Management, Social Science, or related area is required. Or
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in Disaster Management, Geography, Environment, Development Studies/Management, Social Science or equivalent in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience, will be given due consideration in lieu of Master´s degree.
