Overview

The Programme Management Senior Officer will support the UNOPS Global Portfolios Office in delivering impact worldwide by assisting partners in implementing peacebuilding, humanitarian, and development projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inputs for Programme Strategy development and reviews.
  • Support budgeting and resourcing of work plans.
  • Assist in translating strategy into implementation work plans and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for aligned planning and implementation.
  • Monitor trends and needs to identify intervention areas.
  • Assist in preparing programme documents, concept notes, proposals, and budgets.
  • Support drafting and reviewing funding agreements.
  • Analyze funding agreements and provide input for compliance plans.
  • Draft monitoring mechanisms to measure delivery against targets.
  • Review scopes of work for procurement and implementing partner reports.
  • Track programme results and alert management of deviations.
  • Coordinate information flow between implementation teams and headquarters.
  • Draft and edit summary and analytical reports.
  • Draft written summaries of meetings and ensure follow-up actions.
  • Research and prepare analytical documents.
  • Coordinate communications between Country Programme office and headquarters.
  • Maintain working-level coordination with stakeholders.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and provide technical inputs.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for UN common planning processes.
  • Support the application of policies and procedures for the Humanitarian Programme Cycle.
  • Support communication materials and strategies linked to resource mobilization.
  • Support design, coordination, and dissemination of public information products.
  • Maintain records of programme files and necessary documents.
  • Implement standards, tools, and templates for programme management.
  • Identify, contribute to, record, and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Contribute to the management of risk and issue management logs.
Required Experience

Progressive experience in programme/project development or management support, in either public or private sector organizations.

Qualifications
  • Advanced University Degree (master's degree or equivalent) with two years of relevant experience
  • University degree (bachelor’s degree or equivalent) with four years of relevant experience
