Overview
The role supports the design, planning, and implementation of a school feeding pilot program in El Salvador, contributing to food and nutritional security for children and institutional capacity building.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute specialized knowledge to the design of the school feeding pilot in coordination with national institutions.
- Support the operational implementation of the pilot in selected schools, including logistics, monitoring, and training.
- Facilitate the integration of digital tools for pilot management and tracking.
- Generate evidence and learnings to inform program expansion decisions.
- Coordinate with key actors (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, municipalities, strategic partners) for inter-institutional articulation.
- Prepare complex reports and substantial data analyses, making recommendations to supervisors.
- Coordinate and maintain contact with internal counterparts for effective collaboration and project execution.
- Provide support for capacity strengthening activities for WFP staff, cooperating partners, and the national government.
Required Experience
- More than 5 years of work experience in the public or private sector in program/project management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in program/project management.
Qualifications
• University degree in International Relations, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, or related areas.
