Provide expert advice and develop methodological tools and guidelines for the Policy on Human Rights Due Diligence on UN Support to Non-UN Security Forces. The role involves developing training materials and organizing events to support the implementation of this policy.
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible work experience in the human rights field of which at least 3 years at the international level is required. Experience in a human rights field presence is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the implementation of the HRDDP and of human rights due diligence in other sectors is required. Experience in the area of policy, methodology or other guidance development is desirable.
Advanced University Degree (Masters or equivalent) in law with emphasis on international law, in particular international human rights law. A first level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
