Overview

Lead an ECHO-funded Education in Emergencies and Protection Consortium in Sudan, ensuring impactful coordination, delivery, and programme direction. The role involves managing operations, coordinating consortium inputs, and shaping programme direction.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall direction and leadership of the Consortium.
  • Coordinate with consortium members to ensure high quality implementation and compliance.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of the project, including planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and budget spending.
  • Represent the Consortium towards relevant stakeholders.
  • Line Manage and supervise the work of the Consortium Management Unit.
  • Lead the consultations, design and preparation of the next phase of the Consortium.
  • Contribute to fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee and monitor the consortium partners ‘spending.
  • Ensure effective coordination and communication among consortium members.
  • Support decision-making processes within the Consortium.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and donor requirements.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure consortium interventions are complementary.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of the Consortium´s communications and advocacy strategy.
  • Cultivate and strengthen positive, productive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Develop project proposals in collaboration with relevant consortium member staff.
  • Coordinate input for reporting to donors.
  • Responsible for quality control of donor applications and reports.
  • Responsible for full grants and proposals management.
  • Ensure that all grant files are up to date.
  • Lead and/or facilitate consortium committees meetings.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of humanitarian experience across multiple context.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of youth programmes.
  • At least 3 years project management experience of managing multi-million (EURO) projects.
  • Experience in consortium management or extensive involvement in a consortium, with a multi-year duration.
  • Experience developing training tools, manuals, information management systems for humanitarian action and accountability to affected people.
  • Self-motivated and confident communicator, with experience in giving briefings and presentations.
  • Strong inter-personal skills, working well both in teams and independently.
  • Able to work under pressure and good at timely decision making.
  • Preferred experience or knowledge of Sudan context.
  • Previous experience or strong knowledge of Sudan.
Qualifications

Minimum BA in relevant areas preferably.
