Overview
The Human Rights intern will assist in monitoring human rights developments in the region and contribute to the preparation of reports and information tools.
Key Responsibilities
- - Assist with follow-up on human rights issues and cases.
- - Assist in preparing a monthly review of the human rights situation.
- - Assist in overseeing maintenance and development of information and resource tools.
- - Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports.
- - Attend and take notes in meetings and conferences.
- - Assist in organizing workshops and activities.
- - Familiarize with human rights mechanisms, conventions and procedures.
- - Carry out political and legal analysis of certain topics.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent or higher such as Master’s degree or equivalent, Ph.D. or postgraduate degree);
- Be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent).
