Overview

The World Bank Group's Environment Department is recruiting an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) to provide technical, programmatic, and operational support to the Livable Landscapes Academy, focusing on knowledge curation, exchange, training, capacity building, and client engagement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support knowledge organization and curation, including work related to relevant landscape data, analytics, and knowledge products.
  • Contribute to, and in some cases lead, the preparation of analytical notes, briefs, and case studies on integrated landscape management and forestry.
  • Support, and in some cases lead, the development of learning modules, training materials, and other Academy content.
  • Support the planning and delivery (including operational logistics and procurement/contracting) of workshops, webinars, study tours, and other learning and outreach events.
  • Support and help lead communities of practice and partnerships across regions and Global Departments through content development and engagement with experts and partner organizations.
  • Provide program management, procurement, documentation, records management, and monitoring support.
  • Coordinate Livable Landscapes Academy activities with World Bank Group regional units, country offices, and verticals, including corporate-level knowledge programs.
  • Liaise and collaborate with external Livable Landscapes Academy partners and counterparts.
  • Support program management in work planning, budgeting, and procurement processes; track deliverables and key performance indicators; maintain dashboards; and contribute to progress reporting.
Required Experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional operational experience, preferably in international organizations, NGOs, or consulting firms in natural resource and development fields.
  • Working knowledge of World Bank Group instruments, trust funds, and operations.
  • Experience in program management, including work planning, budgeting, procurement support, event delivery, and report writing.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and learning indicators, datasets, and insight generation.
Qualifications

• Master’s degree in landscape or watershed management, forestry, environmental management, or a related field. Degrees in information or knowledge management will be considered if supported by relevant experience.
