Overview

The Senior Advisor will develop and implement a work programme for Mongolia focused on the analysis and improvement of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) processes. The role involves capacity building, process mapping, and developing recommendations for system enhancement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide training on the CRVS Systems Improvement Framework.
  • Facilitate in-country capacity building and consultation workshops.
  • Develop and validate process descriptions and process maps.
  • Develop key performance indicators, including baseline and target data.
  • Identify root causes of data inconsistencies and sub-optimal processes.
  • Develop and validate redesigned process maps.
  • Prepare and validate the final report with results and recommendations.
  • Submit monthly progress reports.
Required Experience

A minimum of 7 years of work experience on CRVS related issues, including supporting countries strengthening their CRVS systems. Have recognized expertise in the subject of civil registration and vital statistics with experience from the Asia-Pacific region, including expertise with using the CRVS System Improvement Framework in countries.

Qualifications

A degree from a recognized university in demography, statistics, public health, policy analysis or related fields.
