Overview
The National Coordinator for AFFIRM Lao PDRages will perform technical analysis, drafting, and coordination functions with government and partnering agencies to ensure the timely and quality delivery of data analyses and reports related to forest-related risks and wildfire management.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with government focal agencies on technical and operational aspects.
- Undertake secondary research studies on facets of fire management.
- Prioritize work activities to be efficient and timely.
- Coordinate and assist with data collection and collation on fire management.
- Participate in meetings, workshops and presentations.
- Take a lead role in drafting report components on the interaction of fire across the landscape.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of technical or administrative experience in forestry, natural resource, governmental or inter-government activities.
- Extent and relevance of experience in forestry or natural resources sector.
- Familiarity with government agencies and managing working relations with them.
Qualifications
• University degree in forestry, natural resources or similar.
