Overview
The Executive Officer is responsible for supporting the leadership of the Office of Strategic Communications (OSC) and ensuring its effective and efficient operation. This includes coordinating taskings, providing advice on policy and administrative issues, and managing workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the OSC’s central point of contact for management, workflow, and coordination issues.
- Support the OSC’s leadership in planning and implementing activities and objectives.
- Advise on administrative, HR, budget, and ICT matters.
- Represent the OSC at relevant meetings.
- Advise on and contribute to policy development within the OSC.
- Design, plan, organise, and supervise special projects.
- Ensure proper flow of information across the OSC and NATO enterprise.
- Develop and promote innovative ways of working.
- Oversee the work of the OSC’s Directorate Support team.
- Manage the Budget Officer.
- Provide support and guidance to the Assistant to the Deputy Director of the OSC.
- Promote an inclusive leadership culture.
- Perform any other related duty as required.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years’ relevant professional experience.
- Experience in managing, coordinating and engaging teams, and/or advising senior leaders including prioritising multiple tasks.
- Experience in communications and/or public relations in an international environment (advantage).
- Programme and project management experience (advantage).
- Knowledge of NATO’s structure, practices and procedures (advantage).
Qualifications
• A university degree in a relevant field.
