Overview

Support the growth of its supply chain finance business and contribute to addressing global supply chain challenges, focusing on expanding access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the marketing, origination, structuring, and negotiation of supply chain finance (SCF) transactions and agreements.
  • Develop a pipeline of SCF opportunities across priority markets.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at industry conferences, seminars, and client engagements.
  • Manage and deepen client relationships with banks, distribution partners, corporates, and other multilateral development banks (MDBs).
  • Work with ADB's Risk Management Office throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Manage the credit assessment process, including submission of credit applications and reports.
  • Review financial statements, conduct financial analysis, and draft credit applications.
  • Lead and conduct due diligence on financial institutions and support due diligence on corporates.
  • Monitor corporate and financial institution credit risk.
  • Monitor exposures and manage TSCFP's portfolio related to supply chain (corporate) risk products.
  • Lead negotiations with financial institutions, corporates, and other counterparties.
  • Coordinate with risk distribution desks at partner financial institutions.
  • Work with ADB's legal department and external legal counsel to structure, draft, and negotiate legal agreements.
  • Contribute to internal administration, reporting, and portfolio monitoring requirements.
  • Collaborate with TSCD's operations team to ensure transactions are processed, executed, and administered efficiently.
  • Communicate with prospective and existing clients.
  • Lead active relationships with international and local financial institutions.
  • Develop ongoing relationships and information exchange with other MDBs, rating agencies, central banks, and government counterparts.
  • Research on market risks, pricing trends, supply chain finance structures, financial institutions, and political risks.
  • Gather and analyze financial and market data to support transaction origination and risk assessment.
  • Contribute to the development, structuring, and marketing of new products and solutions.
  • Lead, participate in, and contribute to internal and external training, conferences, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Develop thought leadership through information videos, presentations, and other outreach materials on supply chain finance, ADB's role, and industry challenges.
  • Support and drive thought leadership initiatives, including supply chain finance-related advocacy and knowledge platforms.
  • Lead, supervise, and support reporting staff.
  • Set clear expectations and provide regular performance feedback.
  • Promote learning and professional development of reporting staff.
Required Experience
  • At least 6 years of work experience with financial institutions across multiple countries.
  • Expertise in trade and supply chain finance, including structuring and execution.
  • Significant international experience, particularly in emerging and developing markets.
  • Experience in financial analysis, credit assessment, and due diligence of corporates, including large corporates and SMEs.
  • Demonstrated capability in business development, marketing, and negotiations.
Qualifications

• A University degree in business, finance, accounting, marketing, or related field; preferably at post-graduate level or its equivalent.
