Overview
The position is responsible for the overall management of service delivery, supply chain, transport and warehousing services through planning, coordinating and service delivery including management of staff, assets and budgetary resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervises Unit Chiefs and team leaders in supply chain management and service delivery functions.
- Oversees allocation and control of all supplies received, stored, and distributed.
- Supervises Receiving and Inspection (R&I) activities.
- Manages and provides operational and policy guidance in supply chain and service delivery functions.
- Ensures compliance with policies, rules, and SOPs.
- Chairs or is a member of technical and operational committees.
- Participates in mission planning processes.
- Develops the supply chain and service delivery workplan and manages team performance.
- Coaches, mentors, and assists staff.
- Develops and implements a service optimization programme.
- Conducts regular reviews of supply chain and mission processes.
- Plans, monitors, and coordinates integrated supply chain processes.
- Ensures accurate accounting, reporting, and internal control systems.
- Analyzes problems, audit, and performance reports and provides remedial action programmes.
- Plans the implementation of effective service delivery and ensures forecasting and resourcing.
- Engages in solicitation exercises for contracting services and purchasing goods.
- Engages in leasing of facilities and provision of services on a cost recovery basis.
- Manages data and reporting for supply chain management and service delivery metrics.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure implementation of end-to-end supply chain programme.
- Reviews contractor performance data and prepares service evaluations.
- Prepares compliance documentation, inventory reconciliations, and reports.
- Provides direct or indirect technical and logistical support to field offices.
- Coordinates with field offices, conducts site visits and virtual assessments.
- Drafts operational instructions and support plans.
- Manages environmentally responsible waste disposal operations.
- Plans and monitors hazardous and general waste disposal.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
A minimum of (10) ten years of progressively responsible experience in supply services, service delivery, administration, logistics, engineering, project management or related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to (05) five years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational certificate in business administration, public administration, engineering, law or other relevant field is required.
