Overview
The Administrative Associate (Protocol) role focuses on managing administrative and protocol functions to ensure efficient operations and support for international staff and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor budgets and financial expenditures.
- Prepare and maintain records for budget monitoring.
- Ensure availability of timely and accurate information for work plans.
- Arrange and support high-level visits.
- Facilitate official communication with government ministries.
- Organize and maintain protocol documentation.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Maintain office calendar and arrange meetings.
- Support capacity development activities and conferences.
- Manage travel and air ticketing.
- Process invoices for approval.
Required Experience
- Minimum: Six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative/clerical experience, including experience in protocol, travel, events, or liaison functions.
- Solid understanding of UN/UNICEF administrative procedures and UN protocol standards (visas, permits, accreditation, airport/official visit arrangements).
- Strong events/logistics planning, proficient records and workflow management is an advantage.
- Familiarity with travel processes and entitlements, security clearances is an asset.
- Experience in the UN Common system or an international organization is desirable.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education is required.
- Any Certification in Administration is desirable.
- Any travel ticketing and booking certification is an added advantage.

- A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business management, administration, finance or any other relevant field of discipline.
