Overview
Engage videographers to create professional, high-impact video content of UNICEF activities and programmes for various audiences, supporting communication, advocacy, and fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce short, engaging videos for social media and digital platforms.
- Conduct on-location video recording of project activities, interviews, and field operations.
- Edit video, mix sound, color grade, add subtitles, and incorporate branding.
- Develop animations, motion graphics, and visual assets.
- Manage production for special events and multi-day projects.
- Utilize professional video, audio, and lighting equipment.
- Deliver optimized final videos and raw footage in professional formats.
- Collaborate with writers and photographers.
- Incorporate feedback and undergo editing rounds.
- Deliver final products within specified deadlines.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in videography, video production, and animation.
- Strong showreel demonstrating skills in documentary, event, and narrative storytelling.
- Proven experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or in the social development sector is desirable.
- Technical mastery of professional video cameras, audio recording equipment, and lighting setups.
- Expert proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
- Strong understanding of codecs, formats, compression for various platforms, and archiving standards.
- Experience in subtitling, color grading, sound mixing, and incorporating branding elements.
- Excellent ability to work in the field, conducting interviews and capturing b-roll respectfully.
- Demonstrated understanding of and adherence to ethical guidelines in filming, particularly regarding child rights and protection.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Film, Video Production, Multimedia Arts, Communications, or a related field.
- High school diploma with additional 3 years of experience can be considered in lieu of the degree.
