Overview

Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team focused on the development and administration of tools supporting Data, Information and Communication Management and Exploitation for cyber security services and capabilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team delivering data-driven cybersecurity capabilities through sprint-based delivery cycles
  • Plan, prioritise, and oversee sprint backlogs covering both IT Operations and Development activities in support of cyber security objectives
  • Ensure effective integration of operational support activities (incident handling, service stability, platform maintenance) with development activities (feature delivery, automation, and data pipeline enhancement)
  • Manage team capacity, workload distribution, and skill development to ensure predictable delivery of outcomes aligned with Branch priorities
Required Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post
  • Proven experience leading technical teams delivering IT or cyber-related services, with demonstrated people management responsibility
  • Proven experience working in a cyber security environment, supporting defensive cyber operations, cyber platforms, or security services
  • Experience managing priorities, workload, and dependencies in a time-sensitive organisational environment
  • Strong understanding of secure system development and operation principles
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across technical, operational, and management functions
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Good knowledge of the principles of computer and communications security, networking, and vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications
  • Experience integrating data sources using APIs, structured data formats (XML, JSON), or messaging technologies
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Practical experience in managing complex Linux-based environments
  • Practical experience in object-oriented programming
  • Good understanding of the management of the IT Service Delivery, following ITIL framework
Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline
