Overview
The Architectural Engineering Technician - Assistant supports the management and review of architecture, urban design, and infrastructure projects for the Centralities Qualification Program in Belo Horizonte. Key responsibilities include technical analysis, quality verification, and contract management support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the elaboration of reports, notes, analysis and follow-up documents, presentations, and training related to projects.
- Maintain technical and contractual project documentation organized and updated, ensuring proper archiving and availability.
- Execute administrative activities in accordance with institutional norms, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Support the technical review of preliminary studies, preliminary designs, and executive projects of architecture, urban design, and infrastructure.
- Support the identification of technical inconsistencies, information gaps, improvement opportunities, and potential risks in reviewed projects.
- Record, consolidate, and systematize technical comments from the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor contractual deadlines and signal deviations to supervision.
- Support budget, financial, and administrative monitoring of contracts when required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supporting the elaboration and/or analysis of urbanism and/or urban infrastructure projects, preferably related to the requalification of public spaces.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience using AutoCAD software for the elaboration, review, and manipulation of technical drawings.
- Desirable: Previous experience in projects financed, managed, or implemented by the public sector.
- Desirable: Previous experience in the elaboration, review, and systematization of technical reports in architecture, urbanism, and infrastructure.
- Desirable: Experience with the G-Suite platform.
- Desirable: Experience with BIM project development.
- Desirable: Experience with file management on the Trimble Connect platform.
- Desirable: Previous experience working in a UN agency.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: High school diploma.
- University degree in Architecture and Urbanism, Urban Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related areas is a differential and may substitute some years of experience.
- Desirable: Postgraduate degree (specialization or master's) in urban and regional planning, urban design, urban infrastructure, sustainability of the built environment, and related areas.
- Desirable: Active professional registration with the Council of Architecture and Urbanism (CAU) or the Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy (CREA), depending on the candidate's background.
