Overview

The Analyst (Research) will provide analytical and research skills to contribute to Lessons Learned reports produced by the Joint Analysis and Lessons Learned Centre (JALLC). The role involves leading analysis projects and contributing to the improvement of NATO's ability to operate and adapt.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leads LL analysis projects, studies and LL related activities requiring specialist analysis and research methods.
  • Plans, coordinates and undertakes data collection through analysis of the NATO LL Portal, literature review, research interviews, surveys and observations.
  • Applies qualitative/quantitative research and analysis methods to data.
  • Applies interpretative, analytical, constructive thinking and judgement to select solutions and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Conducts NLLP active content management and analyses NLLP content to identify strategic lessons.
  • Provides advice and assessment for continuous improvement of the NATO Lessons Learned capability.
  • Plans, writes, and presents analysis products, including handbooks and reports.
  • Attends meetings, conferences or training events to deliver analysis related presentations and/or to collect data.
  • Liaises with relevant NATO staffs and subject matter experts.
Required Experience
  • 3-4 years function related experience in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or other related numerate discipline.
  • Three years practical experience of research or analysis.
  • Track record applying analytical techniques to problem solving.
  • Experience of writing project reports.
  • Experience working in project teams.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or other related numerate discipline.
  • Post-graduate certification in International Studies, History, Social sciences, Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science or other relevant scientific discipline.
