Overview
The Programme Officer (HACT) provides technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programme cycle by integrating HACT plans into programming activities and ensuring adherence to HACT rules and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Support HACT planning during the programming process by participating in discussions and preparing HACT related materials.
- Support the implementation of HACT activities by serving as a reference person, assisting with assessment plans, undertaking spot checks, and providing technical/administrative support.
- Review and use HACT reports by assisting with recording risk ratings, sharing reports, and participating in the review of micro assessment and assurance activity reports.
- Engage in networking and inter-agency partnerships by exchanging information and building partnerships with stakeholders.
- Contribute to innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building by identifying lessons learned and participating in the design and implementation of capacity development strategies.
Required Experience
- A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in programme development/management, financial planning and management, or another related area is required.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
Qualifications
A university degree in Development studies, International Development, Business Administration, Financial Management, Economics, Auditing, Project/Programme Management or another relevant technical field.
