Overview

The Capacity Building Coordinator will lead the Capacity Building team in designing and delivering tailored, mine action-specific training in information management, GIS, data validation, data analysis, and data visualization.


Key Responsibilities
  • Document training practices, methodologies, tools, and lessons learned, and coordinate with other iMMAP projects to ensure the internal dissemination of training materials;
  • Coordinate the maintenance and further development of a platform for storing training materials and tools;
  • Facilitate training curriculum design and regularly update the capacity strengthening workplan in line with partners’ needs;
  • Coordinate and lead the development of tailored, mine action-specific training, with a strong emphasis on sector-specific workflows and reporting requirements;
  • Liaise with partners to identify training needs and conduct follow-up and mentoring visits to organizations requiring additional support;
  • Define training goals, objectives, terms of reference, and agendas;
  • Review training evaluations and report on feedback and areas for improvement;
  • Research, identify, and support the development of new information management tools to address mine action needs;
  • Support the design and development of mine action solutions and end products;
  • Strengthen staff capacity to use existing and emerging technologies in support of organizational objectives;
  • Coordinate with technical working groups and partner mechanisms to assess mine action capacity and identify needs;
  • Liaise with Ukraine project staff to identify training required to improve project performance;
  • Perform any other duties as required.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a humanitarian, emergency response, mine action, or related operational environment;
  • Demonstrated experience in information management, data analysis, GIS, reporting, or capacity building;
  • Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training or technical capacity strengthening activities;
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government counterparts, technical partners, and humanitarian actors;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently;
  • Experience with Capacity Building coordination;
  • Experience in the mine action sector or working with mine action stakeholders;
  • Strong knowledge of ArcGIS, QGIS, Power BI, advanced Excel, or other relevant data tools;
  • Experience working with national institutions and supporting institutional capacity strengthening.
Qualifications

• First-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in information management, mine action, GIS, data analysis, international development, or a related field;
