Overview
The MEAL Officer is responsible for the preparation, consolidation, and circulation of data collection, compilation, and analysis of reports for all program activities. This role contributes to situational analysis and supports the learning and adaptation of interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the transition of management information systems to digital platforms.
- Manage program databases, ensuring updates, cleaning, and confidentiality.
- Coordinate data entry and uploads to servers.
- Aggregate data into monthly databases and share with MEAL Managers.
- Improve data presentation through dashboards.
- Revise and upgrade data collection tools and methodologies.
- Verify program team reports against data collection schemes.
- Perform monitoring of program indicators and trend analysis.
- Analyze data and inform program focal about trends.
- Conduct data quality assurance reviews and provide technical support.
- Train IRC staff on data collection and reporting tools.
- Assist in conducting data and monitor training for program staff.
- Support training for partners.
- Provide timely MEAL reports to program staff.
- Extract and send specific reports to emergency response stakeholders.
- Fill out the monthly Program Indicator Dashboard.
- Contribute to donor report writing by ensuring data availability.
- Report changes in targeted locations and population data.
- Support rapid needs assessments, including form development, training, data collection, and analysis.
- Lead relevant assessments and evaluations, including KAP surveys, PDM surveys, baseline and end line surveys, and client feedback surveys.
