Overview
The MEAL Officer is responsible for the regular preparation, consolidation, and circulation of data collection, compilation, and analysis of reports for all program activities. This role contributes to situational analysis and supports learning and adaptation of interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the transition of MIS from paper-driven to digital systems.
- Manage and update program databases, ensuring confidentiality.
- Coordinate data entry and ensure regular uploads of mobile data.
- Aggregate data into a consolidated monthly database.
- Improve data presentation through dashboards.
- Revise and upgrade data collection tools and methodologies.
- Verify program team reports against data collection schemes.
- Perform sustained monitoring of program indicators and trend analysis.
- Conduct data quality assurance reviews and provide technical support.
- Train IRC staff on data collection and reporting tools.
- Collaborate on revising data collection and emergency-specific training schemes.
- Support training for program staff and partners.
- Provide timely MEAL reports to program staff.
- Extract and send specific reports to stakeholders.
- Fill out the monthly Program Indicator Dashboard.
- Contribute to donor report writing with updated data.
- Report changes in targeted locations and population data.
- Support rapid needs assessments, including form development and data collection.
- Lead assessments and evaluations such as KAP surveys, PDMs, baseline/end line, and client feedback surveys.
