Overview
The primary healthcare coordinator ensures strong relationships with MoHP Officials at the PHCU level and provides on-job training and technical support to health providers to deliver quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-job training and technical support for health providers at MoHP supported Primary Healthcare Units (PHCUs).
- Co-facilitate training sessions for health service providers.
- Conduct supportive supervision over PHCUs.
- Implement health awareness activities.
- Contribute to capacity building of CHWs.
- Coordinate with other project components and local CBOs.
- Conduct field visits to supported PHCUs to monitor service implementation.
- Ensure health service providers follow MoHP updated guidelines.
- Implement health promotion sessions and nutritional screening.
- Support in needs assessment, procurement, and provision of medical supplies.
- Ensure accuracy of the project’s monitoring & evaluation indicators tracking plan.
- Report regularly to the Senior Health Officer with monthly field updates.
- Record supervision visits reports and update the supervision database.
- Draft reports, case studies, and other documents.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in community health activities and/or working at Primary healthcare units in public or private sector.
- Previous experience in health promotion and raising awareness with similar projects and initiatives.
- Experience with refugee/marginalized communities desired.
Qualifications
- Must have bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery or a related field.
- Clinical Diploma, Master’s degree or fellowship is preferred.
