Overview
The Health Manager will coordinate the implementation of Lao PDR’s Pandemic Fund project, focusing on the human health component. This involves supporting the Ministry of Health in managing a national coordination mechanism for the project and clarifying roles among stakeholders.

Required Experience
- A minimum of eight years of professional experience in public health/nutrition planning and management, maternal and neonatal health care, or health emergency/humanitarian preparedness, health security, and communicable disease control.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and implementing large, multi-partner health programmes with ministries of health, UN agencies, and international donors.
- Proven experience in pandemic preparedness and response, health system strengthening, or One Health-related programmes, including surveillance, laboratory systems, workforce development, and/or antimicrobial resistance (AMR) & infection prevention and control.
- Experience working in a developing country is required.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health/nutrition, pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, epidemiology or another relevant technical field.
- Additional training or certification in areas such as health security, One Health, or health systems strengthening is considered as an asset.
