Overview
Provide specialized support and/or lead a team performing logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized support to logistics operations and activities.
- Coordinate requisitioning and ensure timely delivery of commodities and supplies.
- Manage logistics vendors’ contracting activities.
- Gather market intelligence and coordinate vendor assessments.
- Manage complex operational issues and provide solutions.
- Prepare, monitor and revise budget for all delivery modalities.
- Monitor inventory management processes.
- Support oversight for commodity accounting data quality and integrity.
- Provide comprehensive analyses of operational pipeline.
- Manage and coordinate documentation processing for logistics operations.
- Perform research, collect data and conduct analysis to produce reports.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate a team(s) providing technical advice, coaching, guidance and training.
- Participate in logistics emergency preparedness and response activities.
Required Experience
- Seven or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
- Experience coordinating with transportation providers and third parties.
- Experience leading a team of national staff.
- Experience assisting in project management.
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school education.
- A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
