Overview
The Consultant - Information Management will support the management and implementation of information management initiatives for various programmes within the Migration Policy and Sustainable Development Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and following up on IM related project activities.
- Coordinate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop plans for software systems, including the Migrants’ Support Information System (MSIS).
- Ensure information management systems adhere to organizational ICT policies and data protection standards.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and coordination forums related to digital transformation and ICT initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
- Five years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the development, implementation, or coordination of software systems or information management systems.
- Experience in data management, knowledge management, or information sharing initiatives is desirable.
- Experience working with international organizations, development agencies, or government institutions is considered an advantage.
- Experience working with UN Agencies, international organizations, development agencies, or government institutions is considered an advantage.
Qualifications
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field from an accredited academic institution.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field would be considered an advantage.
- Professional certifications in database management, networking, or system administration are desirable.
