Overview

This internship supports the regional team’s communications and advocacy efforts across Asia and the Pacific, assisting with public outreach, multimedia content creation, and visibility initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with public outreach and organizational inreach
  • Contributing to multimedia content creation and digital communications
  • Supporting visibility initiatives that highlight the UN’s contributions and coordinated development efforts in the region
  • Supporting media monitoring and tracking of regional and global coverage related to key development and geopolitical trends
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Remuneration
The internship is UNPAID. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
