Overview
The Training and Capacity Building Officer will support the Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) pillar for smooth operation and implementation of projects, specifically by supporting monitoring/reporting and partner contract management. The role involves developing training modules and providing technical support to entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop standardized training modules for business skills, marketing, financial management.
- Develop Training of Trainers (TOT) plan for Implementing partners.
- Develop tools to assess training and produce training reports.
- Provide technical support to Integrated Program and cross pillar trainings for women entrepreneurs.
- Support coordination of field monitoring and take part in monitoring visits.
- Support drafting of monitoring or field reports and ensure all reports are filed.
- Support annual, quarterly reporting processes.
- Participate in program monitoring visits at the field level and helps to prepare reports.
- Support Preparation of contract extension package for Programme partners.
- Get familiar with UN Women’s corporate systems (Quantum, PGAMS, PRISM).
- Learn Operations related polices, especially in procurement and travel, and support the team in events organization/management.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, research and studies related to overall countries economy and women’s related issues in business and employment.
- Support identification of areas for research and studies related to WEE.
- Supports policy analysis and research.
- Update the beneficiaries and partners profiles for the projects under WEE.
- Maintain stakeholder profile and contact for consultations and meetings.
- Support knowledge management through collection and drafting of success stories, human interest stories.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 7 years relevant professional experience in development organizations.
- Good knowledge of economic empowerment and livelihood support.
- Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
- Experience supporting programme implementation and partner coordination, including exposure to administrative and contract related processes and use of corporate systems (e.g. PGAMS, PRISM) is an asset.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Economics, social sciences, gender studies, development studies or related subjects.
