Overview

The Planning, Verification, Monitoring and Reporting Officer will be seconded to Turkish Red Crescent to ensure disaster recovery activities are implemented in accordance with principles and regulations, and to contribute to institutional capacity building.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development activities related to the field of work
  • Develop, prepare, monitor, and report on relevant projects
  • Fulfill assigned duties in disaster response operations
  • Follow legal regulations and ensure updates are implemented
  • Support the Cash Assistance Program Team Leader in coordinating with operations and program teams for PMER tools
  • Assist in the preparation of operational and programmatic reports
  • Support data collection and analysis to improve program quality, performance, and impact
  • Ensure narrative reporting aligns with Turkish Red Crescent formats and donor requirements
  • Provide technical support and guidance for PMER activities
  • Support the development, use, and institutionalization of PMER guidelines, templates, and tools
  • Assist in the development of PMER processes, procedures, and systems
  • Contribute to the enhancement of staff technical capacity in PMER
  • Participate in the design and implementation of surveys and other DME system components
  • Conduct field monitoring visits with relevant staff
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, performance, and accountability
Required Experience
  • Preferably at least 5 years of experience in relevant fields such as disaster management, development programs, or humanitarian operations
  • Preferably at least 3 years in similar roles
  • Preferably at least 3 years of experience in sectors such as humanitarian aid, non-profit, government, or development organizations
  • Knowledge and experience in planning, donor reporting, monitoring, and evaluation in an international context
  • Experience in supporting program planning for emergency operations
  • Knowledge and experience in humanitarian and development projects
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Disaster Management, Management, Social Work, Sociology, Computer/Software/Industrial Engineering, or other relevant fields

• Fluently spoken and written English and Turkish
Languages Preferred
• Good command of another IFRC official language (French, Spanish or Arabic)
