Overview
Coordinates the strategic design, implementation, and measurement of advocacy initiatives to ensure the well-being of children in Latin America and the Caribbean. Provides strategic advice to national offices and builds collaboration with regional bodies, governments, civil society, private sector, and children.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates the strategic design, implementation, and measurement of evidence-based advocacy initiatives.
- Provides strategic advice to focal points in national offices to implement and monitor advocacy plans.
- Identifies, builds, and nurtures collaboration relationships with regional bodies, national governments, civil society, private sector, and children.
- Coordinates the roll out, implementation, and tracks results of global and regional campaigns.
- Represents World Vision in regional forums, coalitions, and working groups.
- Fosters and nurtures a regional network of child participation.
- Develops and supports mechanisms for meaningful child participation in advocacy and decision-making spaces.
- Collaborates with research, DME, and programs teams to generate data and evidence for advocacy.
- Provides technical assistance and training to country offices on advocacy and child participation.
- Traces the progress of advocacy initiatives and child participation outcomes.
- Contributes to regional and global reporting requirements.
Required Experience
- 7 years of experience in advocacy, public policy, or child rights promotion, preferably in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Experience working with or within regional bodies and multilateral institutions.
- Demonstrated ability to engage children and youth in participatory processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Human Rights, Social Science, Public Policy, or related field.
