Overview

The role involves coordinating and supervising a team of network and communications support technicians, overseeing the management and operation of various network infrastructures, and providing third-level support for related requests.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and supervises the team of network and communications support technicians in the delivery of services and reviews and evaluates work;
  • Oversees the management and operation of LAN, WAN and Data Centre networks, video-teleconferencing network, firewall and unified access services and field office in-a-box setup;
  • Provides 3rd level support to requests related to the areas of responsibility;
  • Prepares technical documentation on the technology environment and related procedures and operations;
  • Supports the day-to-day functioning of the campus network, both cable and wireless;
  • Manages Wide area network, Firewall, DMZ, Field Infrastructure, Detainee Voice logging system, Video teleconferencing system, Unified access management;
  • Performs duties such as preparing service reports/statistics, etc.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in ICT and/or network, telecommunications and related field, with at least two years specifically with IP networks and VOIP technology. A university degree, being at advanced or first-level, in combination with six (6) years of relevant experience, may be considered as a substitute for two years’ of working experience only to determine eligibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, implementation and management of LAN/WAN and Data center networks with Cisco equipment is required;
  • Demonstrated experience in design, implementation and management of enterprise VOIP solutions based on with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) is required;
  • Demonstrated experience in design, implementation and management of firewall solutions based on CISCO ASA and/or Fortigate is required;
  • Valid Certificates in at least two of the following areas is required: CCNP Routing and Switching , CCNP Data Center, CCDP or higher; CCNP Voice, CCNP Collaboration or higher; CCNP Wireless or higher; CISCO ASA Specialist, Fortigate NSE1 or higher; CISCO ISE (500-254 ISE), similar or higher; CCA for CITRIX Netscaler 10.

Diploma of secondary education.

Languages Required
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other working language (French or English) is an asset. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) would be considered an asset.
Contract Duration
For initial appointments, the Court offers a two-year appointment with the possibility of extension (six month probationary period).
