Overview
The Enterprise Solution Engineer will lead the design, development, and integration of end-to-end technical solutions across infrastructure, platforms, networks, and applications to support NATO's Digital Endeavour.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and integration of end-to-end technical solutions across infrastructure, platforms, networks and applications
- Translate complex business and capability requirements into robust, secure and scalable architectures aligned with NATO standards
- Drive systems development activities, ensuring delivery against agreed architectures, timelines and quality standards
- Provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle of solutions including design, costing, implementation, testing and documentation
- Act as a key interface with stakeholders, suppliers and customers, evaluating technical solutions and ensuring optimal performance and compliance
- Contribute to DevOps environments by supporting automation, continuous integration, deployment and monitoring practices
- Support and guide junior engineers while acting as a senior technical reference for incident, problem and service management
- Participate in NATO exercises and operations, providing engineering expertise both remotely and on-site
Required Experience
- A minimum requirement of 2 years post-related experience.
- Or exceptionally, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function.
- Enterprise infrastructure and platform services (IaaS/PaaS)
- Identity and Access Management across federated environments
- Systems engineering, integration and DevOps practices
- IT service management (ITIL) and enterprise service delivery
Qualifications
- A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline.
- Microsoft, VMware or Cisco certifications (e.g. MCSA/MCSE, VCP, CCNA)
