Overview
Provide expert advice and recommendations on cases related to protection against retaliation. Develop and deliver training materials to increase awareness and understanding of the policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary assessments of complaints and reports of retaliation.
- Draft reports, memoranda, and recommendations for each case.
- Review investigation reports and propose actions based on findings.
- Develop and deliver training materials, curricula, and communications.
- Contribute to internal and external messaging on PaR.
- Liaise with relevant UNRWA departments and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice on the substance and implementation of UNRWA’s PaR policy.
- Identify good practices and propose improvements.
Required Experience
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in organizational ethics, investigations, legal analysis, or related areas, preferably within the UN or international organizations. Demonstrated experience in handling retaliation, whistleblower protection, or workplace misconduct cases. Experience in policy review, training, and capacity building is an asset.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in law, ethics, social sciences, organizational behavior, or a related field.
