Overview
The role involves ensuring vehicle movement for daily operations, conducting regular checks, maintaining logbooks and fuel consumption information, and driving project field facilitators to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicle is moved to project site for daily operation and return to WV office safely
- Conduct regular checks on vehicle
- Ensure vehicle is physically and legally fit for driving in country
- Maintain log books on a monthly basis and identify all usages of vehicle
- Maintain vehicle-wise fuel consumption information
- Ensure all documents are in place to avoid legal incompliance
- Maintain copies of documents in an orderly manner
- Respect the security policy
- Drive project field facilitators to the project site on time for project activity implementations
- Arrange and ensure timely delivery of procured materials to the project sites
- Coordinate deliveries from various suppliers to the office
- Work with Supervisors to stock goods received in the right place and keep a good record of what was received
- Receive instructions and direction from supervisor and attend to other operation tasks assigned
- Record and report vehicle and boat fuel usage correctly to admin staff
- Drive carefully and with precaution at all times
- Ensure vehicles used for project activity implementation are always kept safe and secure
- Make good judgment during road block/accidents and use good negotiation skills to avoid unnecessary confrontations/conflicts
- Compile vehicle accident or boat accident reports and submit on time to the supervisor
- Wash and clean vehicles after every field trip done
- Identify any mechanical fault in the vehicle and report in a timely manner
Required Experience
• 2-3 years’ experience in driving
Qualifications
- Certificate in Secondary Education
- Hold current class 6 driving license
