Overview
Provide programme and administrative support to the implementation of projects and initiatives under the UN-Habitat Andean Countries portfolio. Support coordination with national counterparts, partners, and internal UN-Habitat teams for the effective delivery of programme activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide programme and administrative support to project implementation.
- Support coordination with national counterparts, partners, and internal teams.
- Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and organization of programme documentation.
- Support the organization and documentation of programme meetings, workshops, and events.
- Assist in monitoring programme activities.
- Assist in the preparation and formatting of inputs for donor reports, presentations, and internal briefs.
- Support knowledge management activities related to the programme.
- Perform other programme support duties as assigned.
- Assist in the development of presentation materials.
- Participate in meetings with UN-Habitat administrative team and counterparties.
- Maintain communication channels for project development.
- Provide inputs for the systematization of processes and exchange of practices.
- Support Project Coordination in the elaboration and coordination of mission agendas.
- Provide general office support, including data entry and updating programme records.
- Support the systematization of good project practices.
- Support compliance with administrative-related processes.
- Support the Programme Specialist and Finance and Administrative Specialist in project implementation and closure inputs.
- Attend technical meetings.
- Participate in interagency groups, project meetings, official missions, and events.
- Provide information to UN-Habitat regarding affectations to the consultancy process.
- Follow up on programme guidelines.
- Comply with the schedule of activities.
- Ensure administrative activities align with quality expectations.
- Prepare inputs for progress reports and reports.
- Know and apply organizational processes, procedures, and standards.
- Propose formats and procedures for efficient project implementation.
- Know and maintain the project file system.
- Provide support for knowledge management activities.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of shared folders, databases, and internal repositories.
- Facilitate access to information.
- Design methodologies for the systematization of good practices and knowledge.
- Prepare reports and documents related to meetings, missions, and activities.
- Support monitoring of UN-Habitat's implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDP) Target 11.
- Participate in work and follow-up meetings.
- Ensure all activities comply with United Nations integrity principles.
Required Experience
- A Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in areas related to project management, supporting programme or project implementation in development, humanitarian, or urban-related contexts is required.
- Experience using standard office software such as MS Office or equivalent) and digital tools is required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, International Relations, Development Studies, Urban Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field is desirable.
