Provides specialized assistance in the production and delivery of information communications products and services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provides specialized assistance in the production and delivery of information communications products and services.
  • Researches information sources, compiles and presents information for communications products/services.
  • Assists in the production and distribution of radio programming and products.
  • Organizes and executes special events, coordinating with partners and media.
  • Assists in the electronic/digital dissemination of radio programmes, including web page maintenance and content editing.
  • Gathers news through interviews and background material.
  • Maintains journalistic and professional standards under deadlines.
  • Files stories according to deadlines.
  • Follows local, national and international news and UN activities in South Sudan.
  • Conducts, records and edits interviews using digital audio equipment.
  • Produces and presents news and current affairs programmes in English and Arabic.
  • Plans, prepares and presents news and live programmes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public communication, international broadcasting or related area is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical training and certification in journalism or broadcasting, communications, public information, or a particular communications medium is desired.

Fluency in oral and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
