Overview
Consultant sought to lead the revision of the G20 Global Land Initiative's strategic plan, ensuring it reflects progress, updated assumptions, and a clear results framework for future implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing strategic plan.
- Review and update stakeholder mapping.
- Undertake stakeholder consultations.
- Analyze the current external context.
- Propose revisions to the theory of change, strategic objectives, and key performance indicators.
- Draft a revised strategic plan with a results framework, risk assessment, and implementation roadmap.
- Present draft outputs for feedback and facilitate validation.
- Finalize the revised strategic plan and prepare a summary version.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible professional experience in strategic planning, project design, and results-based management is required.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and applying theory of change frameworks and developing key performance indicators for large-scale international initiatives is required.
- Proven experience in monitoring and evaluating strategic plans or programs, including the use of performance data to inform strategic adjustments, is required.
- Experience working with multilateral processes, G20 mechanisms, or international environmental conventions (particularly UNCCD) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating stakeholder consultations with diverse actors, including governments, international organizations, and civil society, is an asset.
Qualifications
• A PhD in a relevant field such as environment, development studies, public policy, international relations, or strategic management is required.
