Overview
The consultant will create editorial content, maintain social media calendars, and develop multimedia materials for dissemination across web and social media channels. The role aims to measure the impact of digital communications efforts and coordinate social media content with partner organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create editorial content (stories, photos, advocacy images, contests, campaigns, audio, video, infographics, etc.) in coordination with the Digital Communications and social media Officer and adapt for media pitching, web and social media, posting to respective channels.
- Maintain social media calendar and content plans of content themes and all upcoming coverage schedules according to the calendar.
- Assist with creating original UNRWA multimedia (photo and video) materials for dissemination across website and social media channels.
- Conduct regular media and social media assessment reports to measure the impact of UNRWA digital communications efforts.
- Draft posts for different accounts and prepare engaging social media packages for international days, Specific events, and other occasions, targeting different audiences, including donors.
- Coordinate the development of creative, innovative, and engaging audio-visual content for use on social media, including video and infographics/data visualization with graphic designers, multimedia specialists, and external providers.
- Develop communication materials and content targeted at donors and highlighting UNRWA’s partnerships with key institutional donors.
- Coordinate social media content and messages with partner organizations.
- Monitor and analyze social media user data and make proposals for adjustments, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- At least 04 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of two continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA, and outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport or a national identity number.
- Experience in video editing and content creation for social media required.
Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institute, preferably in communications, marketing, graphic design, videography or a related discipline.
