Overview

The role requires a senior-level technical expert to lead high-level analytics, strategic reporting, and donor communications for the Pakistan Polio Eradication Program. The specialist will translate epidemiological data into actionable strategies and high-level donor reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic analytics through triangulation of data across communication, operations, EPI, surveillance, and monitoring.
  • Develop high-quality, data-driven infographics and strategic presentations for NEOC, donors, and technical stakeholders.
  • Draft high-quality outcome reports, donor proposals, situation updates, and strategic policy briefs.
  • Support the design and operationalization of SBCC’s Accountability Framework.
  • Conduct advanced training workshops for provincial data staff.
  • Coordinate closely with M&E, Surveillance, EPI, and Operations teams to align data systems and analysis priorities.
  • Provide rapid, high-quality field assessments and analytics to inform NEOC decision-making and donor communications under emergency conditions.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 05 years of progressively responsible experience in the health sector, specifically within the Pakistan Polio Program.
  • Documented experience working at multiple tiers of the polio program: Field implementation level (Union Council / Tehsil), District Emergency Operations Center (DEOC) level, Provincial or National Emergency Operations Center (PEOC/NEOC) level.
  • Demonstrated experience working across or collaborating deeply with multiple pillars: Operations, Surveillance, EPI, and Communications.
  • Deep understanding of the NEOC/PEOC architecture and the specific challenges of high-risk districts in Pakistan.
  • Nuanced understanding of Operational indicators and EPI metrics.
  • Nuanced understanding of Surveillance indicators and EPI metrics.
Qualifications
  • Advance University degree (Master's or above) in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or Public Health is a distinct asset.
  • A first University Degree (Bachelor's) in a relevant field, combined with 2 additional years of professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
  • Additional certifications in Data Science, Visualization (Tableau/Power BI), or Health Informatics.

Fluency in English and Urdu (verbal and written) is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of Pashto or other local languages is a highly distinct asset.
