Overview
Support implementation and oversight of IOM activities in support of the Government of Chad’s Disengagement, Disassociation, Reintegration and Reconciliation (DDRR) Programme and the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently lead and coordinate the implementation of the project.
- Monitor implementation of activities and analyse implementation difficulties.
- Research, follow-up, compile, analyse and present information/data on national, regional and international developments.
- Monitor budget expenditures and coordinate financial, administrative and technical aspects of the project.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct capacity building workshops.
- Participate in meetings and conferences and maintain liaison and coordination with local authorities, partners and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate the preparation of correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, narrative and financial reports.
- Identify and document good practices and lessons learned.
- Supervise and provide guidance and training to reporting staff.
- Periodic travel to the field for monitoring as required.
Required Experience
Seven years of relevant experience with a school diploma; or, five years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields.
Qualifications
School diploma; or, Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
