Overview
The Supply Chain Specialist will provide expert advice and support on supply matters for public health interventions and emergency response, managing the implementation of supply management tools and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and support on supply matters for public health interventions and emergency response.
- Manage the implementation of supply management tools and systems.
- Ensure end-to-end follow-up of requisitions and develop a tracking system.
- Provide training and coaching to Ministry of Health logistics staff on warehouse management, procurement, and stock tracking.
- Liaise with technical experts for needs identification.
- Coordinate emergency supply response with the Ministry of Health.
- Design KPIs to monitor supply operations efficiency.
- Provide regular reporting on supply activities.
Required Experience
- At least five years’ experience, at the national and international levels, in supply chain management or supply logistics in health care emergency response, humanitarian response operations, or related areas.
- Desirable: Related experience with the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN) system, health cluster partners, recognized humanitarian organizations, or international non-governmental organizations working in the field of outbreaks and/or health emergency response.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Development economics, business administration, logistics, engineering, supply chain management from an accredited/recognized institute.
- Training or knowledge of information management systems and their application to supply management and monitoring.
