Overview
Lead and coordinate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of Public Health Promotion (PHP) activities within field locations. Provide technical guidance and capacity building to PHP teams, ensuring interventions adhere to relevant standards and humanitarian principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of PHP activities.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity building to PHP teams.
- Conduct rapid assessments of public health risks and design interventions.
- Train public health teams in context-specific risk assessment and promotion.
- Develop and implement context-specific PHP strategies.
- Represent Oxfam in WASH cluster meetings and liaise with stakeholders.
- Facilitate community engagement and mobilization.
- Develop and oversee PHP monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on PHP activities.
- Manage PHP-related budgets and resources efficiently.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in humanitarian WASH/public health programming.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and leading public health promotion interventions in emergency and protracted crisis settings.
- Experience integrating hygiene promotion with water supply, sanitation infrastructure, and environmental health interventions.
- Demonstrated leadership in inter-agency coordination.
- Experience managing teams, including capacity building of community hygiene promoters, local partners, and government counterparts.
- Experience in planning, budgeting, and financial monitoring.
Qualifications
Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, or related field.
