Overview
Consultant to build the health and nutrition component within the National Early Childhood Plan. The role will provide technical support to the Ministry of Public Health for the formulation of the National Early Childhood Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze health and nutrition services for early childhood in line with current regulations.
- Review secondary information and relevant evidence on effective health and nutrition services for early childhood.
- Propose a structure for the comprehensive and prioritized package of health and nutrition services for early childhood.
- Prepare an estimate of the reference costing for health and nutrition services and provisions.
- Propose the definition of strategic axes, objectives, goals, indicators, comprehensive service package, intersectoral coordination mechanisms, and financing for the comprehensive health axis.
- Review and provide feedback on the draft and final version of the National Early Childhood Plan in the health and nutrition component.
Required Experience
- Previous experience in processes related to chronic child malnutrition, maternal and child health and nutrition, and working with state institutions, international organizations, and intersectoral technical tables.
- Proven experience in managing methodologies for systematic literature review in the health field.
- Minimum and verifiable professional experience of five (5) years in policy design and evaluation of policies, programs, or services related to health, nutrition, early childhood, early child development, maternal and child health, or social protection.
- Proven experience in preparing reference costings, financial analysis, or health economics applications in public services.
- Proven experience in providing technical assistance and coordination with public institutions, international cooperation, and intersectoral coordination spaces.
Qualifications
• Fourth-level degree in health economics or public policy.
