Overview

The UNV Experto – Técnico de Programas Guiria will support the implementation of UNICEF's multisectoral programs in prioritized municipalities, facilitating coordination and contributing to the execution and monitoring of actions in health, nutrition, education, child protection, and WASH.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of the local context in Güiria, including risk and/or emergency scenario analysis and trends affecting vulnerable populations.
  • Apply priority indicators to implement a coherent and transparent monitoring system of the situation of children.
  • Support the monitoring of program implementation, ensuring compliance with agreements with implementing partners.
  • Reinforce program effectiveness through systematic data collection, analysis, and accurate reporting.
  • Represent UNICEF in relevant coordination forums.
  • Produce regular multisectoral analyses and monthly reports on program activity progress.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of critical indicators and quality assurance in humanitarian projects and/or programs.
  • Minimum of 2 years leading the implementation and supervision of field activities, with proven ability to operate autonomously in underserved and remote areas under demanding operational conditions.
  • Experience working in multicultural or indigenous contexts, particularly with vulnerable or hard-to-reach populations is highly valued.
  • Experience in humanitarian action, community-based programming, climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, or sustainability is valued.
  • Previous experience in the United Nations system or other international development or humanitarian organizations is valued.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Policies, Public Administration, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Public Health, Nutrition, Education, Environmental Health, WASH, Monitoring and Evaluation, Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Risk Reduction, Indigenous Peoples Studies, or another relevant field.

Remuneration
• Monthly living allowance of 1,819 USD. • A pre-assignment allowance (paid in the first payroll). • A final assignment allowance, paid upon completion of the contract, provided that the corresponding conditions are met. • Medical, dental, and hospitalization insurance, as well as life and disability insurance. • Among others.
