Overview
The Assistant Education role supports the UNHCR's higher education scholarship program by monitoring beneficiaries and facilitating fund disbursement. The position aims to ensure the effective implementation of educational support for refugees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a monitoring and control mechanism for scholarships.
- Maintain systematic records of beneficiaries and support provided.
- Collaborate with relevant sections for timely fund disbursement.
- Maintain regular contact with scholarship beneficiaries.
- Provide psychosocial support and guidance to students.
- Monitor attendance and academic performance.
- Facilitate fee reductions and professional internships.
- Adapt program guidelines and policies.
- Collaborate on communication efforts for success stories.
- Accomplish other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience with local universities or the Ministry of Higher Education.
- Proven experience in education or higher education programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent writing, drafting, and reporting skills.
- Accuracy and professionalism in producing and reviewing documents.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
