Overview

The role involves leading country-specific macroeconomic monitoring, contributing to policy dialogue, and preparing analytical and advisory products on macroeconomic and structural reforms.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead country-specific macroeconomic monitoring, corporate briefs and contributions to country engagement products.
  • Lead and/or contribute to policy dialogue with the authorities, including development policy financing.
  • Lead and/or contribute to analytical and advisory products to underpin the policy dialogue on macroeconomic and structural reforms.
  • Take part in lending or analytical and advisory activities for other countries in this unit, as needed.
  • Lead policy dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other GPs on the preparation of key strategic and integrative pieces and/or engagements.
Required Experience
  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • First-hand recent experience in supporting fiscal and macroeconomic stabilization programs; experience in the context of Bolivia and Andean economies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of WBG lending, analytical products and processes and experience in policy making as senior level practitioner in the LCR region a plus.
Qualifications

Master’s or PhD degree in economics.
