Overview
Supports the IRC Youth Program by assisting in the delivery of academic, social-emotional, and enrichment services for refugee and immigrant youth through mentorships, tutoring, and field trips.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the facilitation of virtual tutoring and mentoring sessions via Zoom.
- Support outreach, scheduling, and communication with youth participants and volunteer mentors/tutors.
- Monitor virtual sessions to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Help develop and share educational resources, activities, and content.
- Track attendance and assist with basic data entry and documentation for program evaluation.
- Collaborate to identify and respond to the needs of youth participants.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies regarding youth safety and conduct.
Required Experience
- Prior experience and/or interest working with refugees and immigrants preferred.
- Prior experience and/or interest in case management, social work or education preferred.
Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Zoom and Canva).
